We match liner thickness to how your Athens, GA space is actually used, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Athens, GA crawl spaces and basements see different levels of ground moisture depending on soil type and grading, which is part of why we size liner thickness to the specific space instead of defaulting to the same product every time.
We follow manufacturer overlap and seam-sealing specifications on every install, not shortcuts that look fine until moisture finds the gaps.
Standard-size crawl spaces and basements can frequently be completed in a single visit.
Pricing is based on your space's actual square footage and liner thickness selected, quoted in writing before installation.
We recommend liner thickness based on foot traffic, storage use, and moisture severity, not just selling the thickest option by default.
Every Athens, GA Vapor Barrier Installation job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
Heavy-gauge liner is installed across the entire crawl space floor and up the foundation walls, sealed at every seam to block ground moisture transmission.
For unfinished basements, a vapor barrier under future flooring prevents ground moisture from reaching finished materials installed later.
Support piers and posts get individually wrapped and sealed as part of a proper crawl space installation, since unwrapped piers are a common moisture bypass point.
We inspect the full liner before recommending repair versus replacement so you're not paying for a full redo unnecessarily.
Old, torn, or undersized ground cover gets removed and replaced with properly rated liner sized to fully cover the space, piers included.
Tell us the square footage, whether it's a crawl space or basement, and how the space is used so we can recommend the right thickness.
A technician measures the space, checks existing ground cover condition if any, and counts piers or posts that will need wrapping.
You'll see the recommended mil thickness, total square footage, and pier wrapping scope broken out with pricing.
Most standard-size installations are completed in a single visit, sealed and ready the same day.
